Ukrainian game developers have received important news regarding GSC Game World, known for the world series Cossacks and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. According to the data received from the company’s representatives, it turned out that the ownership of GSC Game World has been changed, and now Maksym Krippa has become its new beneficiary.
This was reported by IT News.
The official representative of GSC Game World, Maksym Tkachenko, confirmed that the change of ownership of the company and its affiliated structures was carried out in September 2023 as part of a private equity agreement. The details of this agreement remain a commercial secret as they are subject to non-disclosure.
A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is a legal document concluded between two or more parties that obliges them to refrain from disclosing confidential information. Such an agreement usually includes obligations to share knowledge, materials or other data that are restricted to third parties. An NDA protects information from unauthorized access and disclosure, ensuring its confidentiality.
In addition, the agreement may stipulate the terms of use and processing of this information, define the obligations of the parties in case of breach of the agreement, and set the terms of storage and destruction of confidential materials. An NDA is an important tool in business and research that helps to protect intellectual property and prevent the leakage of sensitive data.
It is noted that cooperation between GSC Game World and Maksym Krippa began in 2020, but the final decision to change ownership was made recently. At the same time, it is noted that such a change does not imply any major changes in the company.
The company’s founders, Sergiy and Yevhen Grigorovich, remain as directors. Yevhen will act as Executive Director, while Sergiy’s responsibilities remain unchanged.
What makes the Stalker universe special
The uniqueness of the Stalker game is determined by several key aspects:
Setting and atmosphere: Stalker immerses players in a post-apocalyptic world inspired by Chernobyl. The Exclusion Zone is recreated in high detail, creating a tense atmosphere through the exploration of destroyed cities and radioactive deserts with anomalies and mutants.
Innovative gameplay: The game combines first-person shooter, role-playing game, and survival horror. Players not only fight enemies, but also manage resources such as ammunition, food, and medical supplies, which adds strategic depth.
Anomalies and artifacts: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. contains dangerous anomalies and artifacts with useful or harmful properties. This stimulates exploration and risk-taking.
Non-linear plot: The game allows players to make decisions that affect the development of events, offering a variety of endings and quests for each passage.
Social and environmental context: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. raises important topics such as environmental disasters and the social consequences of man-made accidents, adding depth to the gaming experience.
High detail of the world: The developers have created a realistic virtual world with great attention to detail, authentic sounds and an atmosphere of abandonment.
